We are pleased to confirm the signing of left-sided player Tyrese Dyce.
Dyce came through the academy programme at West Bromwich Albion. He was released in the summer of 2021 and signed for Sunderland, joining their U23s. He made his senior professional debut in an EFL Trophy game against Manchester United U23s, scoring a debut goal in a 2-1 win.
In March 2022, he joined National League North side Spennymoor Town on loan for the remainder of the 2021/22 season. Tyrese has featured in pre-season matches for Slough this summer, setting up a goal in the recent victory at Beaconsfield Town.
Scott Davies had the following to say on the addition of Tyrese:
“It’s great to have Tyrese on board. A few weeks back a friend of mine asked if we could allow Ty to come in and train and from day one he’s impressed us all in the matches he’s played but also the intensity in which he’s trained at.
“He’s been extremely unlucky with injuries during his time with Sunderland but having spoken with Ty he’s determined to put that to one side and get playing again, and hopefully he can do that successfully for us.
“We like the fact that he’s versatile and can play in a number of different positions, which bodes well for a club like ourselves with a small squad.”
