We are pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Will Dennis on loan from Premier League side AFC Bournemouth for the rest of the season.
Will made his first-team debut for the Cherries in 2020/21 having progressed through the ranks at the club, joining as a 15-year-old in 2016. He started in the third round of the FA Cup as the Cherries triumphed 4-1 against Oldham Athletic at Vitality Stadium in January 2021.
He signed a three-and-a-half-year deal in March 2020 and started the 2020/21 campaign as back up to Asmir Begovic and Mark Travers before being handed his debut in the FA Cup.
He has also had loan spells at Guernsey, Weymouth and Wealdstone.
Scott Davies commented: “We’re really happy to have been able to secure the services of Will until the end of the season.
“There’s no doubt that Rhys (Forster) has done very well for us over the past few months, but we are also aware that we have conceded too many goals this season as defensive unit and something needs to change.
“Will has great experience training with world-class keepers on a day-to-day basis so to be able to bring him in was too good an opportunity to turn down.
“He met the group last night and will be available for selection this weekend.”
