Tomorrow we host National League Premier side Aldershot Town for an 11am kickoff, writes Neil Baker.
Aldershot have made some fantastic signings this summer, and I believe will have a better season than their last couple in particular.
We will welcome Francis Amartey back to Arbour Park, having signed for Aldershot from Hayes & Yeading United this summer, and with him and Inih Effiong they will be a real threat to teams with their pace and power.
Pre-season always throws up its challenges, and you are always juggling with unavailability, injuries and also putting sides together which can include trialists, and making changes when you wouldn’t normally in a game. Tomorrow is one of those challenges with a number of players unavailable.
We will be missing Jonathan North (work), Lee Togwell and Ryan Bird (holidays), then Josh Jackman, George Hunt and Joe Dandy all have slight knocks that potentially in a league game we might risk, but with it being pre-season, will give them longer to recover.
Guy Hollis will also need a fitness test due to a tight hamstring.
We do however welcome back Ben Harris who has been away for the last week.
Therefore the squad is as follows:
Rhys Forster, Scott Davies, George Wells, Guy Hollis, Edon Pruti, Fabio Sole, Matt Lench, Aaron Kuhl, Johnnie Goddard, James Dobson, Imran Kayani, Gabe George, Elliott Benyon, Ben Harris, Trialist, Manny Williams.
