We have teamed up with Ticketpass to generate funds and raise awareness for local charity Aik Saath through every match ticket sold via the online platform.
Ticketpass’ GiveBack50 initiative means 50% of booking fees charged on tickets for fixtures now go to a cause of the club’s choosing, Aik Saath – meaning "Together As One" in Hindi.
The charity was established in response to gang violence between young people from Asian backgrounds in Slough. It strives towards positive social change, both promoting and encouraging conflict resolution, and community cohesion in the UK.
Representatives from Ticketpass and Aik Saath attended our pre-season match against Winchester City on Tuesday evening at Arbour Park.
Robert Dugmore, Ticketpass’ sports media and partnerships manager said: “It was great to get out and meet our clients and witness first-hand the positive impact the club has on the charity it supports.
“We saw the charity in action picking up litter by the canal on our way to the ground, it was excellent to see. The team were so friendly and welcoming, a good evening all round.”
Rob Deeks from Aik Saath said: "For over 20 years we have strived to bring the community together. To be supported by our local team, a club which clearly shares such a similar ethos, means a lot to everyone at Aik Saath. We are grateful to have been chosen by Slough Town and look forward to cheering on the Rebels during the season ahead."
