Adrian Gomm to step down from Rebels Radio role

Adrian Gomm steps down from the role of commentator on Rebels Radio, and we are looking for replacements.

Adrian Gomm has decided to step down from the role of commentator on Rebels Radio.

Ade had the following to say:

“After just over 8 years of being the commentator on Rebels Radio, I’ve taken the decision to step down from the role.

“I never expected to have lasted so long and I have to say it’s been a fantastic experience with many highs and lows, probably enough to write a book.

“From games which won’t live long in our memory to the standout games such as the away games at Merthyr, Gainsborough, playoff wins at Kettering and Kings Lynn, and the home games such as the FA Cup replay against Sutton United and the first home game at Arbour Park against Hayes & Yeading - I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did.

“My role as Matchday Operations Manager is expanding and I need to give it more of my focus, so now is the time to let some new blood take it forward.

“Many thanks to Bakes and Unders and all the players for giving me moments to commentate on.

“Thanks to you, the fans for your support, your messages and most importantly, for listening in each week.

Signing off,

Everyone at the club would like to express their gratitude for the fantastic service provided by Ade over the last 8 years, as he brought the matchday experience to the living rooms of many supporters unable to attend matches in person.

The search for the next voices of Rebels Radio starts now. We are looking for a team of 3-4 commentators to cover the season, so you do not have to attend every game.

The role is voluntary but free entry will be given to any game you commentate on. You do not need any experience, just a passion for the game. All technical training will be provided. If you want to apply or would like any more information then please contact
