Squad news: Braintree Town

A update on the squad to face Braintree Town at Arbour Park tomorrow, with a big three points at stake.

Tomorrow we welcome a resolute Braintree Town team who have been in great form over the last 10 or so games, writes Neil Baker.

As we know having been beaten at their place a few weeks back, it will be a stern test.

Saturday has been designated Non League Day, and with various offers around it would be great to see a good number of you supporting the lads, hoping that we can add three points to take us even closer to a playoff place.

In terms of squad news we have a few issues, most of which have been ongoing and we have been trying to manage the players’ workloads.

Tyler Goodrham and Leon Chambers-Parillon will both miss out due to injury. Tyler is expected to miss the next 2-3 weeks from now, and Leon turned his ankle whilst training with Oxford United, however is expected to be available for us next week.

Aaron Kuhl (hernia), Scott Davies (foot) and Ben Harris (groin) did not train last night, however we hope that all will be available to play some minutes tomorrow. Sean Fraser is also unwell and will miss out.

On the plus side Matt Lench was able to train for the first time in 7 weeks, and whilst not fully fit should be OK to return to the squad. Kurtis Cumberbatch managed most of the session after picking up a knock on Saturday. Eitel Goueth has returned from his loan spell at Kings Langley, and we welcome Joe Dandy into the squad for the first time.

We will have to make a few decisions tomorrow on the final 16 however we will pick from the following 17:

Jonathan North, Josh Jackman, Freddie Grant, Edon Pruti, Lee Togwell, Joe Dandy, Scott Davies, Kurtis Cumberbatch, Matthew Lench, Aaron Kuhl, George Hunt, Eitel Goueth, Imran Kayani, Alfonso Tenconi, Ben Harris, Manny Willams and Alfie Anderson.
