Squad update: Rebels sign five

Ahead of the signing deadline we are pleased to announce of a number of additions to the squad.

23/03/22

We are pleased to announce a number of additions to the squad with the deadline for signing players tomorrow (Thursday 24th), writes Neil Baker.

First up is 20-year-old Joe Dandy who is a central defender, however he can also play at full back or in midfield.

Joe joins us from Bognor Regis Town where he made 37 appearances this season, and prior to that was academy player of the year at Portsmouth in 2019. He originally joined Bognor on loan before signing permanently last summer, however with him living in Ascot he wanted to get playing closer to his home, and this fits perfectly for both him and us.

Next up is 20-year-old central midfielder Leon Chambers-Parillon, who joins us on loan from Oxford United until the end of the season. Leon has had experience out on loan previously with Biggleswade Town, where he played a number of games with Scott Davies, and also twice at Havant & Waterlooville. With injury concerns to Lenchy, Kuhly and Tyler we felt it was important to strengthen in this position especially with the shape we are playing, however he will not be available until the Dorking Wanderers fixture.

We have also signed promising 18-year-old striker James Beauchamp from Hartley Wintney. He has predominantly been part of their U23 team, which was where he first came to our attention playing against our U23s last season. He has had two spells on a dual registration with Fleet Town at Step 5 and now at Step 4 with Binfield, both of which he has excelled in. Following a 7 day approach to Hartley Wintney we made the move to bring him to the club. He will stay with Binfield until the end of the season where he will continue his development under Clurgy and Withs, however with their season finishing before ours he will come back to us for the final week or two ahead of next season.

Finally we have also signed on league forms Alfie Anderson and Ben Mulley, both of whom have continued to do well within the U23s.
