Today we need to announce the departure of Guy Hollis to Havant & Waterlooville following a 7-day approach, and he will be making his debut for them today, writes Neil Baker.
Guy has been a big part of our success as managers over the last 11 years and we can only thank him for his contribution in helping achieve this. We will remember him coming to us at Godalming Town as a 19-year-old right back, and developing into an experienced no-nonsense centre half.
We have experienced some fantastic memories in his time with us.
It goes without saying that we did our best to try and keep Guy at the club, however a change in his circumstances, and the financial offer in place for him was something that he could not turn down, and for that reason he goes with our best wishes.
Unfortunately, with the news yesterday it puts announcements like this in perspective.
Havant are getting a top player and he will be a big miss, however as a club we will continue to try and punch above our weight.
