Squad news: York City

An update from Jon Underwood ahead of a big FA Trophy tie tomorrow.

14/01/22

Today we make the journey to Yorkshire in preparation for tomorrow’s big FA Trophy game as we look to advance to the last 16 of the competition, writes Jon Underwood.

Our opponents have lost some games recently to COVID-19 but we have done the best homework and preparation possible. We know that a tough test awaits but it’s a game and a challenge we will relish.

From last week’s squad we lose Ben Harris (suspension) and Tyler Goodrham (cup-tied) but we have no injury concerns and Mark Nisbet returns to the squad after completing 90 minutes with no issues last weekend.

We also add George Rose and Harry Willlams from the U23s and Imran Kayani who has been getting some valuable experience recently with Kings Langley.

We expect to have a following of around 250 up there and we know they will give us great support as always. We’d like to wish those Rebels fans a safe journey and we look forward to seeing them all tomorrow!

Squad: Jonathan North, George Rose, Josh Jackman, Sean Fraser, Guy Hollis, Lee Togwell, Mark Nisbet, Freddie Grant, George Hunt, Aaron Kuhl, Matthew Lench, Scott Davies, Harry Williams, Eitel Goueth, Max Worsfold, Alfonso Tenconi, Joe Lawal, Imran Kayani.
