Squad news: Concord Rangers

Neil Baker has an update on the squad as we prepare to welcome Concord Rangers to Arbour Park.

29/10/21

Following a good week where we have managed to pick up an important six points, we set our sights to Concord Rangers, writes Neil Baker.

Concord have had an excellent start to the season picking up 14 points to date, however a win for us tomorrow would see us leapfrog them in the table on goal difference.

In terms of squad news there have not been too many changes this week; fortunately, Guy Hollis, after having some work issues has re-committed to us for the season, which after missing him for almost a month is like having a new signing, especially after the way he has performed in the last two games.

We had a defender training with us last night who has National League South experience, however he is overcoming a groin injury and at present neither of us have committed to each other at this stage.

Freddie Grant picked up a slight knee injury on Tuesday when he hyper-extended his leg, and will miss out tomorrow - however the hope is he will be available for the following weekend. Mark Nisbet was able to train fully last night after his ankle injury, and becomes available tomorrow probably a week ahead of schedule.

Joe Lawal has a niggly groin injury which flared up towards the end of training, and may not be fit for tomorrow. However last night we signed on National League forms Imran Kayani from our U23s, who has been scoring week in week out, and if Joe is unavailable he will come into the squad for the first time.

Therefore we will pick from a 17-man squad:

Jonathan North, Josh Jackman, Sean Fraser, Guy Hollis, Lee Togwell, Mark Nisbet, Scott Davies, Aaron Kuhl, George Hunt, Matthew Lench, Eitel Goueth, Warren Harris, Max Worsfold, Ben Harris, Alfonso Tenconi, Joseph Lawal and Imran Kayani.

For tomorrow’s match we have a reduced-price ticket for one adult and one child (under 16) for £12, which is a 33% saving on our usual admission prices.

This means a family of four (two adults, two children under 16) can watch for £24 instead of the usual £36.

Tickets can be purchased online in advance or at the turnstiles. Click here to purchase tickets for Slough Town v Concord Rangers.
