Today we have agreed to release Tom Derry from the club, writes Neil Baker.
Unfortunately in football you need to make tough decisions and due to our start, which is not what anyone would have hoped for, we need to be able to try and revamp the squad as much as we can over the next few weeks.
Obviously as a manager it is always frustrating when one of your summer signings does not quite work out, but this happens in football for a number of reasons, and we have to accept it and move on.
We would like to thank Tom as his attitude since he has been at the club has been very good, however it has just not worked out how we would have both wanted. We wish him well in the future.
In terms of squad news we will welcome back Guy Hollis, Warren Harris, Ben Harris and Josh Jackman this weekend, whilst we also hope to involve young Alfonso Tenconi from the U23s, and we are also working on a number of options.
