We are delighted to confirm the signing of midfielder George Hunt, who joins the club after recently leaving EFL Championship club AFC Bournemouth.
George turned 20 this week and is a Slough resident, indeed he was born at Wexham Park Hospital. He has a great pedigree from his time at professional clubs growing up, firstly spending two years at Coventry City as a scholar, and more recently with AFC Bournemouth Under 23s where he also worked under former Weymouth manager Mark Molesley, who highly recommended him.
George has been training with us in pre-season and has impressed everyone with his quality, work-rate and all-round attitude, and we believe he will be a big asset to the club.
He has turned down offers from Championship and League One clubs to join their U23 setups because his aim now is to prove himself in senior football, and we are delighted he has agreed to join Slough despite attention from other clubs.
