We look forward to the next week of football where we play three games in quick succession against Badshot Lea, Bracknell Town and Binfield, writes Neil Baker.
The early games are about easing the players back in, by predominately playing 45 minutes having not played a competitive game in almost 6 months, otherwise you start loading them with lots of minutes early and you run the risk of picking up injuries.
Pre-season games also give us the opportunity to look at players. We will have five or six players from our U23 side and another trialist or two, however it is important that these lads are mixed in with the first team squad, and not picking what we might perceive to be our strongest team from the start.
Warren Harris will not play a part in these three games due to a rib injury, and throughout pre season we will have people missing at certain games for things like holidays, weddings etc.
We look forward to seeing the Rebels fans again, and encourage people to get out as much as you can, starting this weekend at Badshot Lea.
The squad for the three games will be as follows:
Jonathan North, Michael Edegbe, George Rose, Josh Jackman, Sean Fraser, Guy Hollis, Ryan Bird, Mark Nisbet, Lewis Pegg, Gabe George, Max Worsfold, Scott Davies, Lee Togwell, Aaron Kuhl, Trialist Midfielder, Matthew Lench, Paul Hodges, Eitel Goueth, Ben Harris, Tom Derry, Joe Lawal, Trialist Forward.
On Saturday, Michael and George will both be doing 45 minutes for Badshot Lea, as their goalkeeper is missing.
