Squad update: Oxford City

Jon Underwood provides an update ahead of our trip to Oxford City on Boxing Day.

23/12/20

We make the trip to Oxford City on Boxing Day for what should be a tough game against a side who have impressed so far this season and currently sit just outside the playoff positions, writes Jon Underwood.

We went to watch them beat Dulwich recently when we were without a game and we are fully aware of the threats they carry, but we enter the game with renewed confidence after seeing some real improvement in our own performance levels in recent weeks.

Despite losing out on penalties against Dartford last week we were delighted with how we played against a very good side, and we are now further boosted by the return of several key players from injury for the Christmas period.

Even with this week’s loss of Matt Lench we are still able to name a strong 17-man squad, and they all came through a tough training session last night. We decided to take no chances with some players being able to see family members in 2 days’ time and in the current environment we wanted to minimise any risk.

Squad: Jack Turner, Josh Jackman, Louis Lomas, Sam Togwell, Guy Hollis, Mark Nisbet, Lee Togwell, Sean Fraser, Aaron Kuhl, Cameron McGilp, Warren Harris, Max Worsfold, Jack McKnight, Paul Hodges, Ryan Bird, Ben Harris, Dan Roberts.

This match will be played behind closed doors. We know it won't be the same without our loyal supporters there cheering the team on, but our opponents Oxford City will be providing a live stream.
