Our latest Rebels Rewind, courtesy of FCVideo, will again take supporters back to the 2004/05 season, and more cup glory with the Isthmian League Cup final win over Hampton & Richmond Borough.
Slough became known as ‘cup specialists’ that season after a run to the Second Round of the FA Cup, and later reaching the last 16 of the FA Trophy. The Rebels also successfully navigated four rounds of the League Cup en route to the final, knocking out Cheshunt, Salisbury City, AFC Wimbledon and Heybridge Swifts in a two-legged semi-final.
The final, at Staines Town’s Wheatsheaf Park, took place during the supporters’ sponsored walk from Slough to Worthing, with the walkers making their way to the match before continuing their journey down to West Sussex.
At 3pm this Saturday, we will be showing the whole 90 minutes from the match on our YouTube channel. The link to watch the match is here: Rebels Rewind: Hampton & Richmond Borough v Slough Town (2005)
