Slough Town Football Club is delighted to announce that Slough Trading Estate will be the official sponsor for the club’s home shirts for the next two seasons.
This extends our existing relationship with Slough Trading Estate, which is already official shirt sponsor for our Slough Town Ladies team, and has also supported the first team through sponsorship of advertising boards, season tickets and shirt sleeves in past seasons.
We are absolutely delighted that a company with so much heritage within the town has committed to continuing its support of the club in its centenary year.
Slough Trading Estate is owned by SEGRO, a leading owner, manager and developer of modern warehousing and light industrial property. It owns or manages 8 million square metres of space, serving customers from a wide range of industry sectors across eight countries in Europe.
The company and the Slough Trading Estate have been part of the fabric of Slough since their formation 100 years ago. The journey began in 1920 with the formation of the Slough Trading Company to run a 243 hectare, World War I vehicle repair depot on the Bath Road.
Community and wellbeing have been at the heart of the company and the estate for many years. In 1936 SEGRO formed the Slough & District Recreational and Institutional fund to raise money and invest in facilities for health, entertainment and leisure. By 1937 the fund had spent £52,500 developing a 6-acre site, including a community centre hall equipped with a dance hall, library, members canteen and nursery.
