We begin a tough but vitally important week on the road with a trip to Essex tomorrow where we take on a Chelmsford side who will be boosted by a 3-1 home win on Monday night, writes Jon Underwood.
It’s probably fair to say their season has not gone as expected, with manager Rod Stringer being relieved of his position a few weeks ago, but despite this their home form has been good and they have only lost two home league games all season.
We are pleased to confirm Paul Hodges will take his place in the squad after his midweek move from Woking, and it comes at a good time with Warren Harris unavailable for this game as he is at a wedding.
We are also boosted by the return of Mark Nisbet, who played 90 minutes in a behind closed doors friendly on Tuesday with no issues, and with a fully fit squad we will be looking to get Louie Soares some game time elsewhere tomorrow.
We appreciate how tough it is for the fans to follow us on a week like this so it was great to see the supporters' coach has been filled once again for this game. The noise created in our last away game at Welling was incredible and if we can get anywhere close to that again we know it will give our players a real boost.
Squad: Jack Turner, Josh Jackman, George Wells, Ryan Bird, Guy Hollis, Mark Nisbet, Sam Togwell, Sean Fraser, Lee Togwell, Scott Davies, Matt Lench, Max Worsfold, Paul Hodges, Dan Roberts, Ben Harris, Manny Williams.
