Welling United: Matchday arrangements

Useful information for supporters attending Saturday's match against Welling United at Arbour Park.

11/04/19

On Saturday we welcome Welling United to Arbour Park in National League South - and we have pulled together some useful information for supporters in advance.

Match sponsors

We will again welcome Phil Ballinger from SKALA along with his guests. Also sponsoring the match today is Alan Harding.

Sport4Kids

Our Matchday Mascots come from Sport4Kids (S4K), a coaching organisation with a huge presence in Berkshire.

S4K started in 2012, and coach children from the age of 18 months to 15 years old. With venues in Slough, Langley, Egham, Windsor and Maidenhead, Sport4Kids are looking to revolutionise children’s sport and education. The company have recently franchised too, opening venues across the country.

Based on Montessori teachings, and child development psychology, sessions are filled with technical skills and entertainment. The word class techniques are split into key pillars and comprehensive curriculum for each stage of development and age group. There are clear steps and a visible curriculum for parents to see what their child is doing and how the specific classes and exercises fit into the overall programme.

Children at S4K can also join S4K FC when they turn 6 years old, and represent the local club in a variety of different competitive leagues.

Player of the Season voting

Supporters can vote for their Player of the Season, and there is also a separate vote for Junior Rebels Player of the Season. One lucky Junior Rebel will win the chance to present the award on Easter Monday when we play Eastbourne Borough!

Donations

We will be presenting cheques to London and Slough Run, Aik Saath and Destiny Support. The cheques, totalling £2,000 are Slough Town FC's share of the Community Shield Fund from last season.

Homestart Easter Egg collection

We are supporting the Homestart Easter Egg collection organised by E Sargeant & Son Funeral Directors. While out shopping please pop an extra chocolate egg into your trolley and bring it along to the match and help us support this local group who do so much to help families with young children through difficult times.
