Preview: Rebels look to earn place in Senior Cup final

Slough Town make the short trip to Oak Tree Road tomorrow (Tuesday) evening in the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup semi-final

25/03/19

Tomorrow we make the journey to Marlow in the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup, to earn the right to play Reading U23s in the final.

We go into the game in good form having secured a fantastic win at Woking on Saturday.

Regarding the rules of the competition, any player that has played in any senior County Cup tie is ineligible, and therefore that immediately rules out Francis Amartey (who has played in the Birmingham Senior Cup), Billy Clifford (Essex Senior Cup), Matt Lench (Middlesex Senior Cup) and Dan Roberts (Berks & Bucks Senior Cup).

With Ben Harris also injured, that takes us down to 13 eligible players - and despite phone calls to various people, that is what we will travel with.

That being said, we will still be putting out a strong side tomorrow and we will be taking the competition very seriously, as we would love to have the opportunity to compete for a trophy at the end of the season.

However Marlow will be right up for the game, and are having an excellent season, where they are expected to be challenging for promotion to Step 3. They defeated MK Dons 1-0 in the quarter-finals and a tough evening is expected. We would love to see as many of the supporters as possible to get behind the lads like they have all season.

Manny Williams picked up a slight neck injury on Saturday, however has declared himself fit, and we can welcome Warren Harris back after missing the game on Saturday due to the birth of his daughter Farrah. We also bring back Nathan Smart as per our agreement with him and Hartley Wintney at the start of the season.

Squad: Jack Turner, Nathan Smart, Sean Fraser, Josh Jackman, Mark Nisbet, Guy Hollis, George Wells, Sam Togwell, Lee Togwell, Simon Dunn, Manny Williams, Louie Soares and Warren Harris.

* Admission prices for this match are £8 for Adults and £5 for Concessions, and Slough supporters are advised that we will be wearing our home kit.
