Beaconsfield secured a play-off berth with a goalless draw against tenants Slough Town.

Good work from Sealey on the right saw the ball passed to Kean, whose drive from 20 yards was saved by Nick Hart.

Beaconsfield put pressure on the Slough defence, forcing a number of corners, but the Rebels were able to hold firm and Sealey fired another effort wide from the edge of the box on his left foot.

Steve Dell’s long throws were causing a few problems, and one effort was deflected just wide after a scramble.

With the game flowing freely from end to end, Slough had a good chance just before half time as Kean was chopped down on the edge of the box, but Byron Bubb’s free kick produced a comfortable save from Hart.

In the second half, top scorer Bradley Bubb got free on the right, but blasted across goal. Stuart Swift then received the ball at the back post, but Jackson produced a great save with his legs to deny the midfielder.

Slough’s best chance came as Platt was played in over the top, but Hart made another good save to deny him at his near post. Roy Gumbs, a towering presence up front for Slough, then steered a difficult volley over the bar soon after.

Towards the end of the game, heavy Beaconsfield pressure meant Slough were penned back in their own half. However, Slough still went close through Edwards, who saw his shot cleared off the line with makeshift striker Luke Evans lurking.

At the death, the Rams almost converted their possession into a winning goal as Bubb’s strike was saved brilliantly by Jackson. Craig O’Connor, following up, put the ball into the net, but was ruled offside as both sides had to settle for a point.
