Former players of Slough Town FC will be lacing their boots once again this Saturday when they take part in the 2019 'Legends Day' exhibition match at Arbour Park!
The two teams will be managed by former Rebels players - and managers - Eddie Denton and Darron Wilkinson.
The event will also be the first opportunity for supporters to purchase the new away shirt in the club shop – the perfect Father’s Day gift.
Among the players currently lined up to feature are Mark Fiore, who made 221 appearances for the Rebels between 1992 and 1999, including in the club’s time in the GM Vauxhall Conference.
Former club captain Steve Daly, who made 378 appearances in almost 10 years with the club, will also be involved, along with former manager Steve Bateman – who also made over 100 playing appearances – and Gary Attrell, who famously scored the winning goal against Millwall in the FA Cup at Wexham Park in 1982.
Jamie Jackson has also committed to playing. After making over 100 appearances for Slough in several spells, he has found fame with Hashtag United and regularly features on Sky Sports’ Soccer AM.
The match will kick off at 15:00 with gates opening at 13:30, and the bar will be open before, during and after the match, until 21:00. The event will again be 'Pay what you want' to attend.
