With the World Cup effectively over for England, we can now all focus on the domestic season, and with that in mind we look forward to welcoming near neighbours Reading U23s tomorrow to Arbour Park at a changed KO time of 12:30.
Reading have already played a couple of games, narrowly losing 1-0 to Bath City, and then beating Wealdstone 2-0 on Tuesday, so this will be a good test for us.
We will be missing Matt Day (away) and Warren Harris (holiday) however other than that we have no injury concerns and are also able to add back into the squad Ben Harris and Nathan Smart which will enable us to name an 18-man squad.
In terms of the trialists we have let Bilal Sayoud go in the search of regular first team football (more likely at Step 3), as it is unlikely he will get that with us at this stage, whilst with Brad we have registered an interest with him, however at this stage he is still looking to get back into full time football and has a few trials lined up in respect of this. At this stage we need to concentrate on players who will form part of our squad in terms of minutes on the pitch. We have offered for him to remain training with us and we will monitor his situation.
Squad from: Jack Turner, Sean Fraser, Nathan Smart, Josh Jackman, George Wells, Sam Togwell, Mark Nisbet, Guy Hollis, Harrison Gilkes, Louie Soares, James Dobson, Simon Dunn, Lee Togwell, Scott Davies, Perry Coles, Ben Harris, Manny Williams and Chris Flood.
