Slough, in common with other towns in South Bucks and East Berks, was visited by the heavy storm of Saturday morning, and it left the turf at the Dolphin Ground in a very greasy and treacherous condition.

Maidenhead were without J. Henry and Buckland, and Slough had Reg Young away, owing to the sudden death of his father.

Slough, who had the wing, pressed hotly at the start, but they were gradually driven back, and, from a run by Durrant, and an overhead kick by A. Walton, Maidenhead scored through Collyer, after fifteen minutes play, and they crossed over with this advantage.

The long passing tactics of Maidenhead paid better than Slough's short passing, and for some time in the second half they had the best of matters.

Towards the close Slough made great efforts to get on terms, and at last Smith did the trick.

After this, Maidenhead had to act entirely on the defensive, but they defended finely, and the result was a draw - one each.
