A large number of people visited the Dolphin Ground to witness this game on Saturday. In the first half Slough had the benefit of the wind and had all the best of the exchanges, the visitors being handicapped by Pugh, their outside right, injuring his knee.

The feature of the play was the fine work of Poole and Denton on the home left wing. The latter made several nice centres and Slough should have scored more than once but the shooting of the home forwards was extremely wretched, and ends were changed without any score.

Wycombe rearranged their team on restarting, the principal alterations being A. W. Keen going centre-half and W. J. Probert to back. This change worked wonders, the visitors pressing continually.

In checking a run by Barlow, Werrell, the Slough captain, war hurt, and had to be assisted off the field, and while he was away Rouse scored for Wycombe from a corner twenty-five minutes from the change of ends.

Werrell returned after this, but he was very little good, and seven minutes later A. W. Keen sent in a shot which hit the crossbar, and W. Buchanan pounced upon it and registered a second point.

Slough tried hard in the closing minutes, but it was all to no purpose and Wycombe won a good game by two goals to love.

A. W. Keen, B. C. Hooper and T. Barlow played well for the winners, and G. Werrell, A. Summersby and G. Denton were always prominent for Slough.
