Slough finished their preparations for the 2017/18 season with a convincing 3-0 win at Bostik League Premier Division Tonbridge Angels.

This was a sixth successive win for the Rebels after opening with two draws, and whilst results don't matter at this stage, Slough should go into next weekend's opening league fixture in good spirits.

The first half was entertaining and open, with chances for both sides, but the Rebels were far more clinical in front of goal.

Chris Flood opened the scoring on 33 minutes, curling the ball inside Tony Di-Bernardo's far post.

The lead was doubled on 41 minutes when Manny Williams seized upon a loose ball following a strike from Simon Dunn, and finished easily from six yards.

Slough made five changes at the break and the flow of the game was disrupted, but neither Neil Baker nor Jon Underwood will care too much as the majority of the squad were able to get valuable minutes on the pitch ahead of the season opener against Kettering - including Alan Inns, who got through his first 90 minutes since picking up an injury in the opening friendly against Wycombe.

The Rebels added a third in the final minute when James Dobson ran clear and slotted the ball past the keeper.
