Despite taking an early lead Slough suffered defeat against a very impressive Chesham side in an entertaining friendly at Amy Lane.

With Slough welcoming back Nathan Bowden-Haase into the team it was the Rebels who started brightly and opened the scoring with an excellent team goal early on.

Danny Murphy combined with Dom Marsala down the left. His measured cross fell to the feet of Ben Abbey who side-footed into the net.

The home side soon equalised when a free-kick was delightfully curled into the top corner from the edge of the area.

Minutes later Chesham then had a great chance to go ahead when a penalty was awarded, but Charlie Fanner saved well to keep the scores level.

Chesham were not to be denied though as they were again awarded another penalty soon after. This time they did score to take the lead.

In the second-half Chesham dominated early on as Slough experimented with a 4-5-1/4-3-3 formation. They scored two-goals to go 4-1 ahead before Charles Mpi pulled a goal back with a fine finish as the match ended 4-2.
