Slough Town's survival hopes were dealt a serious blow when they were thumped 5-0 at home to fellow strugglers Harrow Borough.

The Rebels started slowly and found themselves 4-0 down within 18 minutes. Kyle Matthews cut in from the right wing to open the scoring after just six minutes.

The lead was doubled two minutes later when Elliot Onochie broke the offside trap and slotted past former Burnham keeper Jamie Jackson.

A stunning volley from Daniel McGonigle made it three on 12 minutes before James Bent rose highest at the far post to head home Borough's fourth.

Slough rallied thereafter but failed to put Kieran Jimmy in the visiting goal under much pressure.

In the second half, the Rebels had most of the possession, but Harrow continued to look dangerous on the counter-attack. Substitute Albert Adomah scored with his first touch in the 70th minute, after being released by Onochie, to complete the scoring.

The result leaves rock-bottom Slough 11 points adrift of safety at the half-way point of the season, with 21 matches still to play.
