Slough came out on the losing side in this five goal thriller as two late goals from the Angels condemned the Rebels to their fifth defeat of the season having now played seven games.

Tonbridge had started the season well but Slough will have come away from the game rueing late defensive lapses which saw them throw away three points and come away with none.

The home side got off to a great start when Scott Kinch's miscued volley bounced past Kieron Drake from a narrow angle and into the far corner of the net.

Slough responded well and had the better of possession but struggled to create and clear chances with all the ball they had, until the twenty sixth minute.

A long throw into the box found the feet of Jamie Jarvis. The defender moved the ball to his left and getting a shot away which was saved by Aaron Kerr, but Adam Wallace was on hand to prod home the rebound for his second goal of the season.

The partnership of Gareth McCleary alongside Wallace was proving fruitful for the Rebels with the perfect blend of aerial ability and pace and trickery from the pair. Wallace went close to putting Slough into the lead as his chipped cross bounced out off the top of the bar as the half came to a close with the scores level.

Luke Piscina fashioned a chance for himself as he broke through three soft Slough challenges to get through to Drake, but the keeper made a good save, smothering the rebound as well, as the home side looked to get back in front. The striker was left red faced as he missed an open goal midway through the half. Drake's goal kick was headed back towards goal by Jon Heath and as Drake came out to claim the ball at the edge of the area, the bounce deceived the keeper and fell to Piscina. With the goal gaping, the striker could only roll the ball off the far post and Slough were able to clear. Kinch played the ball through to Main as Drake saved well again as the home side began to ramp up the pressure and get back in front.

Slough had other idea though and got themselves in front with seventeen minutes left. Michael Alexis received the ball twenty five yards from goal and hit a stinging drive which Kerr did well to get anything on, but the ball looped up in the air and dropped kindly under the bar to see the Rebels take the lead.

With just five minutes remaining, the home side got back on level terms as a shot was parried by Drake and sub Adam O'Neill was the first to reach the loose ball and toe ended in from a few yards.

The comeback was completed two mintues later. Jon Main rode the strong challenge from Jarvis as he was played in down the left channel. Breaking into the box, he cut back inside the challenge from Marc Leach who had gone to ground easily, before calmly lifting the ball over Drake.

Slough had played well enough for at least a point, but ultimately left with none after a frenetic finish.
