Slough made the short journey up to Earlsmead, the home of Harrow Borough, looking to finish their season on a positive note but ended up coming away with a defeat following a poor first half.

Slough had the opening opportunity of the game, but it was one of only a few for the Rebels for the half, as the lively Gareth McCleary beat a few men on the right before lofting the ball over to the back post but Mark West could not hit the target from the egde of the area.

At the other end Daniel Leech laid the ball outside to the run of Howard Newton and the winger found Masters reactions to be on form as the keeper flicked out a hand to paw away the ball. Elliott Onochie, who scored both Harrow's goals in the reverse fixture, was next to test Masters with a low drive which the keeper did well to turn away.

Ian Hodges went close at the other end with the best chance of the half for Slough. Receiving the ball on the edge of the area his toe poke went just wide of the far post.

The home side continued to press forward and looked the better of the two sides in the half. Victor Asombang saw his effort crash back off the bar after his low drive was saved by Masters and the ball had flicked up off the keepers save, but Slough were saved by the bar.

THe home side finally got their reward for their play in the first half as Steve Daly's attmempted tackle on Asombang took out the Harrow forward and the referee awarded the penalty with the linesmans advice. Onochie stepped up and sent Masters the wrong way from the spot.

The next chance for the home side saw them double their lead. Harrow worked the ball back to Daniel Nielsen. The right back swung the ball into the box from deep and no Slough defender had picked up the run of Daniel Leech who was able to head home.

Slough were much improved in the second half and saw Leigh Mason go close twice as they took control of the game. Mason scored an absolute peach of a free kick with just over an hour gone bending the ball over the wall and into the top corner.

From the restart Slough were ragged and nearly let their hosts restore their two goal advantage with some weak defending but Onochie was unable to convert from twelve yards, firing the ball well over.

Mason again went close for Slough and West saw Keita Karamoko produce a fine save to claw the ball away from the top corner from the veteran strikers volley. Mason went close with two more free kicks but Slough came away empty handed despite a significant second half improvement.
