Slough, not for the first time this season, found themselves at a two goal disadvantage but again managed to battled back to salvage a point at Wealdstone.

Leigh Mason had the games opening opportunity as a Josias Carbon free kick from the half way line found its way through to the midfielder making a run at the back post and his well struck effort was well saved by Lee Carroll.

The home side took the lead through Jermaine Beckford with nine minutes gone. The ball was worked in from the left, flicked to Beckford from his strike partner Richard Jolly and Beckford controlled and moved inside in one motion before firing low from 20 yards into Michael Parkin's bottom right corner.

Beckford again caused Slough problems as he received the ball by the corner on the left. Cutting inside past Avery, his low driven cross found its way through to an unmarked Ryan Harris at the back post but he somehow blazed over from a few yards with an open goal to aim at.

Slough went close through Jamie Brooks as he broke through into the left side of the area, having received the ball from Leon Woodruffe, but his shot across goal went just wide of the far post.

Brooks again went close when he beat Lee Carroll to a cross from the right by Josh Millar, but the strikers effort was not controlled and it flew wide with the goal gaping.

Slough had the opening chance of the second half as a quick counter saw Andy Ballard play in Woodruffe down the left but the ball bobbled just as the winger was about to strike it and and flew harmlessly over.

The home side extended their lead with an exquisite strike from Beckford for his second of the game with fifty minutes gone. An aimless ball forwards was headed clear by Mark Avery. The ball took one bounce and the young striker smashed the ball in from 35 yards out with a spectacular hit leaving Parkin with no chance.

Ballard had a half chance to pull one back for Slough as the ball arrived to him at the back post from a free kick but the defender wasn't expecting the ball to get through the defenders and he could not get his effort on target.

Slough did get one back with a superb strike of their own. Sub Mark West received the ball on the edge of the area and turned back the clock with a bit of quick feet to get a yard of space before hitting a sumptious chip into the far corner over the head of Carroll.

Slough pushed forward for an equaliser and got their just rewards in the final minute. Ballard fed in a free kick from by the half way line and Luke Evans, under pressure from Hodges, could only flick the ball back towards his own net and Carroll was helpless to prevent it from going in for the equalising goal.
