Slough finished the season with a win and made it nine unbeaten in the league to conclude the season. Having only dropped points in Tuesday's draw with Worthing in that time, it was a great run of form at a timely point of the season which secured a fourth placed finish in the league.

Goals from Haddow and a brace from Harris were enough to seal the win for the Rebels against a Croydon side who were left wiht nothing to play for.

Slough went into the game comfortable in the knowledge that they were all but up and this was reflected in their play. Haddow had flashed a drive wide across goal on a heavy Stag Meadow pitch before stepping up to convert a driven penalty low to the keepers left hand side after Hodges had been fouled in the box.

Harris added a second as he beat his man on the right, cut inside to the area and hit a low drive which flew in at the near post.

Harris replicated his earlier effort in the second half to extend the Rebels lead to three before Croydon pulled back a consolation goal with one of their substitutes backheeling home.
