Slough Town's fortunes on the pitch continued to improve with this draw on Tuesday night. Despite Slough not having won at home this season in five attempts, this was a classic game where the draw was a fair result.

Michael Bartley notched his second goal for Slough on the stroke of half time to cancel out Thame's 34th minute opener.

The impressive Veli Hakki was twice involved in a neat passing move down the right that put Michael Gilkes in behind the visitors defence and Bartley despatched his cut back from 10 yards.

Thame, with former Rebels Rob Smith and Mark west in their line up, had seen Wayne Cort's flick come back off the post and hit Mark Swaysland to put them in front.

This was after Clement James had hit the outside of the post for Rebels and Steve Mautone had denied Swaysland.

After the break, the game could have gone either way with Mark Jones shooting wide with only Mautone to beat and substitute Dominic Gentle looped a header just over the Thame crossbar.

Thame United Lineup
