Bob Underwood rubbed salt into the Dulwich wound when he scored his first ever goal for Slough Town at Wexham Park last night.

Dulwich had hit the woodwork four times and did enough to take the points to give themselves an outside chance of staying up in the Isthmian League Division 1.

Then Underwood struck, overlapping well on the left but seemingly crossing too early, with no-one in the penalty area to challenge. But the ball dropped high over goalkeeper Everitt, hit the far post and went in.
Cruel luck for Dulwich who are now almost certain to go down to Division 2 with Ilford, who were also beaten at Wexham Park on Tuesday.

Kieran Somers completed the night of misery for Dulwich when he knocked home an 85th minute penalty after Paul Lee had been brought down by Brookes.

It could have been a much happier tale for Dulwich if Rhoden's 42nd minute shot had not bounced off the underside of the bar.

And Trevor Porter managed to stretch and touch a Pooley shot onto the bar, Bayram also hit the underside of the bar and Pudney hit the outside of the post.

It really was rough justice when Underwood scored his goal in the 81st minute for Slough created very few chances in comparison, understandably looking tired after their third game of the week.

Tomorrow they have their fourth when they travel to Hendon and manager Joe Arpino, with injuries steadily mounting, has no idea what sort of team he will be able to play.
