Good afternoon and welcome to Arbour Park for today’s eagerly anticipated game against Woking.

No doubt this will be well supported by both sides, and probably one of the stand out fixtures to look for when we got promoted.

We would like to welcome Alan Dowson, his staff and players to Arbour Park for the first time, and have no doubt it will be a well contested game.

With Woking’s relegation last season and the arrival of Dowse there have been a number of changes to their playing personnel, however they have had a very solid start to the season, and are quite rightly tipped as one of the favourites for the league.

They will be coming into the game after a fantastic victory away at Torquay in the FA Cup, and we hope to be able to join them in the second round, where we replay with Sutton on Tuesday night.

We put in a fantastic display against a very good side who will no doubt be challenging for a place in the football league next season, and in reality felt very unfortunate coming away from the game without the victory, after being denied a blatant penalty.

Whilst the FA Cup is great we have to set our attention back to the league today, and we will need to be at our very best to come away with the 3 points.

In terms of squad news I write these notes before Tuesday’s game at Chalfont St Peter and hope that we have come through unscathed in terms of injuries.

One player who will be missing is James Dobson who will be suspended for his 5th booking picked up against Concord, also Chris Flood will be monitored after splitting his eye open at training on Thursday last week.

My final word has to be for the fans who were amazing at the weekend, and travelled in great numbers to get behind the lads, it really feels like a good thing is happening again at Slough Town, and is wonderful to be involved in, I urge that everyone gets behind the lads today, and also that we turn up in huge numbers on Tuesday.

Enjoy the game.
