Tonight is a good opportunity for a few who have not started as much as they would have probably wanted recently, and with plenty of games coming up, they will need to do what they can tonight to make sure they keep a shirt.

Good evening and welcome to Arbour Park for today’s county cup game against Wantage. I write these notes prior to our game at Kings Lynn, and hope that we are coming into the game off the back of 3 points, after the disappointment of Bishop Stortford last Saturday.

The Stortford game was one of those days where most things seemed to go wrong, and despite the fact that we were down to 9 men and for the last 5 minutes 8 men (although Wellsy was on the pitch) we gave it a real good go, and on another day we win the game relatively comfortable, however from the 6th minute when we had the horrific deflected goal go against us, you just knew that it might be one of those days.

Tonight is a good opportunity for a few who have not started as much as they would have probably wanted recently, and with plenty of games coming up, they will need to do what they can tonight to make sure they keep a shirt, hopefully we will have Gavin James and Harrison Gilkes back in the squad tonight after long lay-offs, and hopefully both can put their injury problems behind them.

We should have Nathan Smart back tonight after suspension Saturday, and hopefully Sean Fraser, Wellsy and Nis will all be fit and available, however I expect Lenchy to miss the next few weeks at least with ankle ligament damage.

Hopefully between the time of writing the programme notes and tonight we will have agreed to bring a new player to the club following a 7 dayer that went in prior to the FA Cup game against Rochdale, however due to interest from other clubs it was not a sure thing.

Hopefully we will see as many of you for our game on Saturday before the Christmas break.
