Good afternoon and welcome to Arbour Park for our two festive games against Stratford and Farnborough.

Both sides have come into some form recently and will each be looking to come to Arbour Park and take the points with them. Obviously this is our first game against Stratford this season, however we played Farnborough earlier in the season narrowly winning with a last minute disputed winner.

I write these notes before the Wantage game, and after the disappointment of the Kings Lynn game being postponed, so hopefully we will have been able to get over our defeat against Bishop Stortford with a positive performance on Tuesday.

In terms of injuries we are now not too far away from a fully fit squad, we expect to have Mark Nisbet back following his injury against Rochdale, which only leaves Matt Lench who will be out for a few more weeks and Gavin James who had a setback from his injury.

We have been working on bringing a new player to the club, and we have had to remain patient with this, we hope that before the Chesham game we will have something to report on this.

We are under no illusions how tough it will be to claw back the points that we are behind due to our fantastic cup run, however I don’t think anyone would want to change that run, obviously that leaves you chasing teams, and that is hard mentally, however it is within us to be able to get on another good unbeaten run, and this will need to happen sooner rather than later if we do have any serious aspirations for that automatic promotion spot, which is what we all want.

Obviously Hereford are in a similar boat, however their squad is far superior in size to everything else in the league, and that will help them with that.

Anyway that leaves me to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a fantastic new year, and let’s hope we are celebrating come the end of April.
