Good evening and welcome to Arbour Park for tonight’s league fixture against Hitchin Town.

Hitchin have had a tough start to the season but they have played several of the leading sides and we expect them to be challenging for the leading places this season. Hitchin have generally got the better of Slough in recent years so we can expect a tough game tonight.

We had an excellent result on Saturday, but football is a delicate game and it is easy to get carried away. At 1-1 the score could easily have become 1-2 and it is unclear what the outcome of the match could have been. What is certain we cannot take any match for granted and the team will need your support tonight to help keep them on track.

We are avoiding looking beyond tonight’s game but we cannot help being excited about Saturday’s FA Cup game against Dulwich which will be a tough challenge. We have a home tie and that is what we wanted. Please lend your support for this game and bring a friend along.

With games coming along thick and fast, it is inevitable that we will need to shuffle the team around to get everyone in the best shape.

Enjoy the game, and get behind the lads as much as you can.
