Please get behind the lads, we are now entering the business part of the season, and it would be great to see as many of you as possible home and away, we have had in our opinion a fantastic season to date, and we are in a great position to continue that.

Good afternoon and welcome to this afternoons league fixture at home to Basingstoke Town, we would personally like to welcome Terry, Jason and his players here for the first time.

We are under no illusions how tough today's fixture will be against a full time side that comfortably dispatched of us earlier in the season, in fact that game was the catalyst for a rocky period for us. Basingstoke although defeated on Saturday by a flying Chippenham team, come into this game in decent form, they are predominately a young side mixed with a smattering of experience, however they play with great pace in their side, and always look to play the right way, and today playing on the 3G will hold no fears for them as they train on this surface at Alton Town FC every day.

We come into this game on the back of an excellent 4-0 away win at Dorchester, where the side we picked was extremely professional in everything they did, and in that win banished the thoughts of the Cinderford defeat which was extremely unjust. We made a conscious decision not to play Nathan Webb on Saturday, as with Lee Togwell suspended today, we could ill afford Webby also being suspended, as he is currently stuck on 9 bookings.

In terms of injuries it was good to get through the game without any new injuries, which only leaves Gavin James on the side-lines, however we are hopeful that we might see him back within the next 7-10 days. We welcome back Lewis Putman from his month loan at Hayes and Yeading, whilst Guy Hollis is still unavailable due to work commitments in Singapore.

Please get behind the lads, we are now entering the business part of the season, and it would be great to see as many of you as possible home and away, we have had in our opinion a fantastic season to date, and we are in a great position to continue that.

Enjoy the game!
