Good evening and welcome to Arbour Park for tonight's league game against Banbury United. I write these notes after our disappointing exit from the trophy Saturday, where I think we probably got what we deserved over the course of the game. Granted we were not helped with what we had unavailable to us, however, the side that we put out should have been more than capable of putting on a better performance.

It looks like Wingate had been riled by "my comments" in the Maidenhead Advertiser on Friday and having seen the report Friday, the way it was written if I had been an opposition manager I would have bene using it to fire our lads up. I was extremely disappointed in how it was written, and despite the fact that we did end up having a conversation about the lure of playing somebody like Maidenhead in the next round, it was very much after saying what a difficult game Saturday would be, and that we would have to be at the top of the game to progress, unfortunately none of that was included and the whole focus had been put on an off the cuff comment...a reminder that you always have to be on your guard with the press, especially when speaking to someone you don't usually talk with.

Moving on to today's game we welcome back Simon Dunn and James Dobson from suspension, and there is a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel with Gavin James who got through a training session Saturday with no reaction, and may come back into consideration shortly.

We are trying to look at a few options, however, we also need to make sure that we are bringing the right type of player in, we have to remember we are in a fantastic position in the league, and a number of clubs would gladly swap positions with us.

Having played Banbury earlier in the season we know what a difficult game this will be, having been promoted last season, they have kicked on again, and are in a great position just outside the play offs.

Enjoy the game, and try to get behind the lads as best you can.
