Good afternoon and welcome again to Arbour Park as we return to league action against Cambridge City.

City have had a difficult season so far, but we know this is very deceptive from the hard game they gave us a few weeks back in the Emirates FA Cup. The margin between success and failure can be a very fine line as we experienced last Saturday. We look forward to an interesting game.

After the disappointment on Saturday, our lads seemed to want to make a point on Tuesday, and despite giving a run out for some players who have not featured regularly, and bringing back several players from injury, we were satisfied with how they set about the game.

Nathan Smart started as did Dan Hicks and Jamie Jackson. Lewis Putman showed a real hunger returning from injury in gaining a hat-trick, and Charlie Moone also getting a brace. We took the opportunity to bring on Jon Palmer and Raju Pritpal. Raju kept a cool head to open his scoring account for the first team. All in all a pleasing performance.

It could have gone badly wrong with Ashford leading after 4 minutes, so let us not forget and we must not take anything for granted. The league is a marathon and this will be just our twelfth league game. We have many tough games to come.

Please get right behind the lads from the start.
