Tommy Lawrence enjoyed success at Enfield and Slough Town in his managerial career.

All at Slough Town Football Club were saddened to learn of the passing of former first team manager Tommy Lawrence last week.

Tommy guided Slough Town to their first ever Wembley final in 1973 as the Rebels were defeated 1-0 by Walton & Hersham in the Amateur Cup final. He also took Slough to two Amateur Cup semi-finals.

After his playing career was cut short by a head injury in 1964, Tommy became manager of Enfield FC the following year and he led the club to unprecedented success during the remainder of the decade. As manager, he took Enfield to their first Amateur Cup success against Skelmersdale.

Tommy's funeral will take place on Wednesday 26th October at Enfield Crematorium, Great Cambridge Road, Enfield, Middlesex EN1 4DS at 2.30pm, and the post-funeral gathering will take place in Butler's Bar, Queen Elizabeth Stadium, Donkey Lane, Middlesex EN1 3PL from 4.00pm.
