Looking Ahead: Ashford Town (Middx)

Southern League Division One Central side Ashford Town (Middx) visit for a League Challenge Cup tie.

After another excellent home performance this time against Dartford, we now set our attentions to Ashford Town (Middx) in the League Challenge Cup.

Whilst this is not a huge priority in terms of winning the tournament, it can sometimes give valuable game time to players who have not played as much as they might have wanted.

In terms of tomorrow, we will be without Josh Jackman (work) and Gurkan Gokmen (back injury) which is a real shame as this was a perfect game for both of them. Also missing will be Brad Hewitt (holiday) Gavin James (thigh) and Lee Barney (ankle) whilst both Sean Fraser and Mark Nisbet will be rested due to a tight hamstring and ankle injury respectively.

Having looked at the options, we have decided that we will go pretty strong for the game, and will look to rest the lads on Thursday night instead.

We will bring into the squad Pritpal Raju and Steffen Bennett from the youth team, plus we have signed experienced players in Nathan Smart and Jon Palmer to bolster the numbers.

Our squad will be from the following:

Jamie Jackson, Mark Scott, Nathan Smart, Paul Stonehouse, Guy Hollis, Dan Hicks, Simon Dunn, Nathan Webb, Lee Togwell, Adrian Sear, James Dobson, Warren Harris, Charlie Moone, Lewis Putman, Pritpal Raju, Jon Palmer and Steffen Bennett.
