Looking Ahead: Cirencester Town

Neil Baker gives his thoughts ahead of Saturday's trip to Cirencester.

26/08/16

We now enter a momentous weekend for the club, however the only thing in our mind at this stage is the game at Cirencester, and hopefully another good performance to put us in a strong position for Monday's game.

In terms of squad news, Harrison Gilkes had his operation on Monday which was successful, and he will start his rehab straight away. Other than that, despite one or two minor niggles we have a full squad to choose from for Saturday’s game.

Gavin James and Lee Togwell will both be available for the Cirencester game, but will both miss the Hayes & Yeading game, as Gav has an International call-up where he will line up against the USA next week, and Lee has a pre-organised week away.

In other news, after a couple of sessions with us this week Jamie Jackson has signed Southern League forms. Everyone knows Jacko is a Slough lad through and through, and because of his locality and the fact he is in good shape, he is perfect for training as a second keeper, and at times to provide cover for Scottie from the bench.

Squad for the weekend’s games will be from the following: Mark Scott, Sean Fraser, Josh Jackman, Paul Stonehouse, Guy Hollis, Mark Nisbet, Brad Hewitt, Dan Hicks, Adrian Sear, Simon Dunn, Nathan Webb, Lee Togwell, Warren Harris, James Dobson, Lewis Putman, Gurkan Gokmen, Lee Barney, Charlie Moone and Gav James.
