Arbour Park update
Written by Kay Lathey
The Rebels have set a tentative target date of Monday 29th August for the first home game at Arbour Park.
Exciting times ahead!
Excellent progress is being made at Arbour Park and just like the past six months there continues to be plenty of things keeping ourselves and the Council busy!
We are now tentatively targeting Monday 29th August as possibly our first game at our new home. As everyone is aware the handover for Phase 1 completion to the Council is scheduled for the 15th August, so if everything were to fall into place then the 29th may just be doable - but I think after over a decade of being homeless we can afford to be patient and not be too disheartened if it were to slip!
Whilst we await our return home, we will continue to play our home fixtures at Beaconsfield and whilst off the pitch things are progressing well, it is important that we all maintain our focus on working as hard as possible on getting as good a start to the season as we can. So for our first home game on the 6th August at Beaconsfield it would be great to have a bumper crowd to kick start what will undoubtedly (one way or another!) be an historical season.
This update was only intended to be brief and a more detailed update will be provided very soon, perhaps when a few things are a bit more concrete. However let’s enjoy this moment - we are almost there!
Up The Rebels!
