After the disappointment of Saturday's postponement and three weeks without competitive action we very much look forward to tomorrow's Red Insure Cup match at Potters Bar.
On Saturday we managed to get some valuable minutes in to the players' legs with a friendly against Bracknell Town from the Hellenic League. We won the game 4-1 with goals from Guy Hollis, new signing Lee Barney, Ryan Hope and Lewis Putman. Our opponents contained familiar faces Jamie McClurg, Johnnie Dyer, Adam Cornell and Kensley Maloney and it was a very worthwhile exercise for us and them.
Also on Saturday Paul Coyne played 75 minutes for Ascot United in the Hellenic League and joins our matchday squad for the first time having trained with us for the past couple of weeks. We also hope to have Wes Harrison with us for this game to provide extra defensive cover on the bench.
Missing the game tomorrow will be Ryan Hope (final match of suspension) and Eddie Smith who will resume training this week following a hamstring injury.
Finally some good news on Jake Parsons, who resumed light training recently and following a precautionary scan last week as a follow up to his knee operation he has been given the green light to resume full training this week.
Squad: Mark Scott, Sean Fraser, Jhai Dhillon, Guy Hollis, Dan Hicks, Wes Harrison, Leigh Rumbold, Adrian Sear, Nathan Webb, Paul Coyne, Warren Harris, Lewis Putman, Gurkan Gokmen, Charlie Mpi, Scott Harris, Lee Barney.
