Looking Ahead: Hitchin Town

Joint manager Jon Underwood looks forward to this weekend's fixture at home to Hitchin Town

21/11/14

This weekend Slough welcome Hitchin Town to Holloways Park for the first fixture between the two sides since the 2011/12 Play Off Semi-Final where the Rebels lost out at Top Field, The Canaries eventually beating Daventry in the final to gain promotion to the Southern Premier League.

Ahead of the fixture joint manager Neil Baker commented:

"We welcome Hitchin off the back of a tough game against Merthyr.

Tom Moran will be playing for Ascot United, as he has been away with work for the last 2 weeks and unable to train, so needs some match fitness. Guy Hollis is available again and Luke Knight is declared fit, we still have a question mark over Scott Harris however we hope he will be available for the bench.

The only other slight concern is Adrian Sear, who sustained a dead leg on Tuesday night, however again we hope he will be available.

In other news Seb Castello has had an approach from Egham Town, and we have agreed the transfer forms today so that he can sign in time for tomorrow's game. We do have the opportunity to bring him back later in the season if we think it is beneficial for him, however experience at Step 4 will be important for his development. With the Southern League rules, though, he has to be transferred."

Squad tomorrow will be from:

Somerville, Fraser, R Parsons, Hollis, Yorke, Jeffreys, J Parsons, McClurg, Rumbold, Sear, Edwards, Knight, Dobson, S Harris, Smith, Dyer.
