We have taken the decision to release George Frith and give him the opportunity to go elsewhere to find regular football which is what he needs at this stage of his career.
With Adrian Sear coming in and looking stronger and fitter every week and Luke Knight finally returning to action at the weekend we now have four very strong options in midfield and this has pushed George down the pecking order. We have had interest from a Step 4 side who would like to take George and we have given them permission to speak to him today so that may well be the route he goes down. We would like to thank George for his efforts in a Slough shirt and wish him all the best for the future.
We are also in the process of organising a loan deal for Eddie Smith who should be fit to return to action this weekend. Eddie's season has not really started yet, due to a combination of injuries and a suspension and he needs to do what Scott Harris did and that is to go somewhere for several weeks and get a run of games to get fit and find some form.
