We are pleased to announce that we have strengthened the squad for the FA Cup weekend having signed Adrian Sear and Ryan Scott.
Most of you know 'Searsy', who has been training with us since pre season after recovering from injury. He is a top player who is a winner, and up until this season has been plying his trade with St Neots Town, despite being local to us. We managed to get him some minutes last night, and he will come straight into the squad for the weekend.
We also welcome Ryan Scott to the club. Ryan is a central midfield player who started his career as a pro at Aldershot Town, before a serious injury put his career on hold. He has since played for Farnborough, and last season after a spell as player manager for Badshot Lea, he joined Gosport Borough in the Conference South and was part of the team that reached the FA Trophy final.
We spoke with Ryan in the summer (along with Basingstoke and Gosport who both wanted him) however he has been playing for Camberley Town on a Saturday as his job currently restricts him from being able to play midweek, and therefore 100% committing to a club. We are grateful that Dan Turkington at Camberley has been helpful in allowing him to play for us this weekend, as we will be without George Short who is suspended and also Jamie McClurg who is unavailable due to a prior commitment.
