After suffering their first defeat of the season against Chesham United on Monday, joint managers Jon Underwood and Neil Baker will be looking for a positive response when Histon visit Holloways Park tomorrow (Saturday).
Histon have started the season with just one point from six matches, and currently sit second bottom of the league, but Slough will surely take nothing for granted against 'The Stutes' from Cambridgeshire.
Jon Underwood provided the Official Website with an update on the injury front, news of a new signing, and the 16 man squad to face Histon tomorrow:
"We look forward to tomorrow's game with Histon and the opportunity to get back on track following Monday's first defeat of the season.
"Eddie Smith will be missing with his hamstring injury as well as Guy Hollis who is away this weekend. Better news is that both Luke Knight and Daryll Thomas are again fully fit and both come in to contention for tomorrow while Johnnie Dyer joined in light training last night, and we'll make a late decision on him before the game.
"A late addition to tomorrow's squad is 19 year old Jamal Branker, a fast and skilful winger, who was with Southampton from the age of 9 until this summer. He was recommended to us earlier in the week and trained with us last night. Last season Jamal spent two loan periods in the Southern Premier, one with Frome Town and one with AFC Totton, so he knows the league and will give us another attacking option."
The 16 man squad is as follows:
Somerville, Fraser, R Parsons, Moran, Yorke, Edwards, McClurg, Knight, Short, Frith, Witham, Dobson, Branker, Dyer, Cornell, Thomas.
