Friday 11th April saw the Polish Club host a quiz for STFC fans, families and friends. Organised by Rebels’ supporters Ian & Kay Lathey, the event was a great success with almost 100 people in attendance.
Teams ranging from 2 people to 8 navigated their way through questions on general knowledge, sport, music and football with Rebels’ fans agonising over some questions on Slough Town! Who remembers who we played prior to Salisbury City in our FA Cup run of 2004/5? Or which club did Gareth McCleary play for before joining the Rebels?!
An amazing conclusion saw the “Wexham Wanderers” narrowly beating “The Special Ones” by a single point despite the latter scoring a full 20 points in the final round! The winners were awarded commemorative medals with the team of 2, Pete and Noreen Bridle, collecting the wooden spoon and a bottle of bubbly for their efforts!
